Sweet n' Hot Meatballs


For this week's game day recipe we wanted to incorporate one of our favorite products...Sweet n' Hot Pepper Relish!  This is a delicious and versatile product which will quickly become a favorite of anyone who has never tried it.  Sweet n' Hot Pepper Relish is a diverse and delicious compliment to any party.  Add it to chili, meatloaf, ham (as a glaze), or even top your baked potato.  It can also be used as a dip with tortilla chips.  One of the favorites around the office is to use it to top off a block of cheddar on a cracker.  These meatballs are great by themselves or can be used to make a delicious meatball sandwich.  Enough talk...Let's get to the recipe!

Ingredients

 

Meatballs


¾ pound Ground Beef
¾ pound Ground Turkey
1 small onion minced
1 egg
½ cup Italian bread crumbs
Shredded Mozzarella Cheese (optional)

Sauce


14 oz. jar of House of Webster Sweet n' Hot Pepper Relish
8 oz House of Webster Concord Grape Jelly

Instructions 


1)  Combine first 5 ingredients in a mixing bowl until mixed well. Form 1 inch meatballs and place onto greased baking sheet.  Bake meatballs for 20-25 min at 400 degrees.

2)  Meanwhile, combine 14 oz. jar of House of Webster Sweet n' Hot Pepper Relish and 8 oz House of Webster Concord Grape Jelly in a saucepan until heated and saucy.



3)  Finally, put meatballs into sauce and simmer on stove top for 25 minutes.  You can also cook in a crock pot for 2-4 hours on low.



Serve meatballs as an appetizer or in a sandwich topped with shredded mozzarella cheese.
